GREENWAY SAVES (GS), Northwest Florida's leading Triple Bottom Line utility efficiency eco-consulting firm, would like to announce that GS Team Leader and Owner Tina Gainey has been awarded one of the first-ever Innovation and Impact Awards from DeVry University. Graduating Summa Cum Laude and a member of Sigma Beta Delta International Business Honors Society, and with an overall 3.9 GPA, Mrs. Gainey, a long-term resident of Crestview, has also recently been honored by the International Women's Leadership Association. Mrs. Gainey had earned her BS in Technical Management and remained on the Deans Honors List while simultaneously starting up GreenwaySaves.com to support greener, more efficient home and business practices; donated her time to teach children and adults about natural resource conservation; earned additional credentials in the environmental building and practices industry; worked full-time; and managed a home and family life.
These are great accomplishments; especially for a Hispanic female entrepreneur in a small, semi-rural community and in light of the economy. It serves as an inspiration to others, demonstrating how the power of focus, motivation, determination, and passion can be united towards a goal for the greater good of society.
Greenway Saves is launching a new non profit organization - Greenway Saves Education Foundation (GSEF). The purpose of GSEF is to educate the public regarding natural resource conservation practices and providing green job training. Through smeinars, workshops, and being added to school curricula, we can advance social awareness of the need to conserve our energy and water use, and support clean air and a greener environment. GSEF is looking for support financially as well as with the launch of the foundation - including board members. Please contact Tina Gainey at greenwaysaves@ymail.com for more information.
